Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Speed optimizations and migration

Hi there,

We know we had to improve the overall speed of our website. So, in recent days, we have optimized our website (enable gzip compression, caching, decrease the number php requests,…). But more importantly, Iconpaper got a new server.

Now, Iconpaper should be faster for most of you (migration can take 48 hours to propagate, it’s done for over 24 hours). In the coming days we will be attentive to the performance and further improve if necessary.

Contests postponed

Because of our speed problems, we’ve decided to postpone for one week the due dates of our three contests.
So, contest one is due for June 19th, while contests two and three are due for June 26th. We’ve also added a new prize for the third contest (Textastic), a great app for iPad owners.

Three contests, three chances to win [link]

First one is pretty simple : You just need to share the news about our new website and contests via your favorite social website (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr,…). Twitter is ok, but for others websites we need a proof (send screenshot or link via our contest email).

Second one is for customizers : You need to snap your screen with your favorite themes/icons. It’s a customization contest, we’ll judge the overall aesthetic as well the elements used. Contest theme is free.

Third one, this one is for designers : We ask to the designers to make an Iconpaper related wallpaper. Of course, this contest will have our best prizes.
