Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine  that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam  deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.
I know this is a no-duh for 90% of people reading it but for the sake of the rest lets revise what we all should know about online phishig. And before you go all:

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

So, here is our last launch contest, a themed wallpaper contest.

Due to the lack of entries we've decided to change the rules of the contest.

The theme is Summer/Holiday (photos are permitted). To enter, you have to submit a wallpaper on deviantArt and send your link to submit@iconpaper.org (of course, you need to be the author) before Monday 25th July.

Thats a nice way to give away prizes . I always find others hosting contests which are for themed desktops , there is nothing to encourage them to create their own stuff , the people just use others resources and win the prizes and the author of the resources just watches them taking away goodies using his work . The contests should encourage creativity so that the winner is the one "Who really deserves " , thanks to you guys .

I would love to mention about this contest on my group's home .

Good point. Unfortunately, to organize this kind of contest we need many participants because sponsors need visibility.

Theme desktop contests are easier because everyone can enter so we have many participants (sometimes not so many...).

So we can't organize many wallpaper, icon or skin contests but we try and we'll try to do more :) (now I have to find the time :p).

Of course you can spread the word! We need support. If we had many entries, we could do more of these contests.

My point was about giving the prize to the deserving ones' , i dont say that you should totally stop "Themed Desktop contests " , but here is a nice opportunity for those who are real artists . :-) And I wish Iconpaper grows forever .
